Gabriel Faimau

I am a Senior Lecturer in Sociology in the Department of Sociology at the University of Botswana (UB). Prior to starting Lectureship in Sociology at the University of Botswana, I was Lecturer and Head of Research Department at Kgolagano College in Gaborone and Teaching Assistant in the School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies (SPAIS) at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. I completed my PhD in Sociology in 2011 and MSc in Social Science Research Methods in 2007 at the School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies (SPAIS), University of Bristol. I was one of the recipients of the Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS) awarded by the University of Bristol for my doctoral research. I actively participated in various community development projects in Botswana from 2000 to 2006. My research interest includes religion on the Internet, new media and new religions in Botswana as well as religion and politics
