Bio Statement:
An ordained Christian clergyperson, I am working on a Ph.D. in Emerging Media and Communication / Arts and Technology at the University of Texas at Dallas. My reading areas consist of cyber-philosophy/theology, social network theory, and philosophy of technology. I am interested in exploring the theological meaning of embodiment in digital cultures, the effects of the digital realms on the work of the church, and the possible use of virtual worlds for faith selection. I have worked more than twenty years as a United Methodist pastor. In 2009, I began graduate school in the E.M.A.C. program at U.T.D. and then entered the ATEC Ph.D. program once the U.T. System approved this new doctorate. I hold two master’s degrees from Texas Christian University: a Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from the M. J. Neeley School of Business. Baylor University graduated me with honors with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a double major in Business and Broadcasting. As a Teaching Assistant at U.T.D., I am an Instructor for ATEC 2384 Basic Design Principles and Practices. I hope to take my comprehensive field exams in 2013 and one day teach in a graduate school seminary.
