Ruth Tsuria

Ruth Tsuria earned her PhD from Texas A&M University Department of Communication. Her research investigates the intersection of digital media, religion, and feminism. Her dissertation project, entitled “New Media in the Jewish Bedroom: Exploring Jewish Online Discourse Concerning Gender and Sexuality,” has received the support of the Women and Gender Studies Program at Texas A&M University. Dr. Tsuria’s research explores a variety of topics, including memes, mobile applications, websites, and social media. Her main foci are developing theoretical tools to understand online discourse and interrogating the relationship between technology and society.
