Jordan Loewen-Colón

I am currently a researcher working at the intersection of culture, technology, and psychedelics. My technical expertise involves Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, and Video Games, while my humanities training has given me a strong background in Philosophy, Theory, and Ethics. Throughout my work, I use First Principles thinking to focus on identifying the root cause of problems and offering creative, pragmatic, and marketable solutions. As an academic, my knowledge base is at the cutting edge of human thought, allowing me to ask questions and gain new perspectives. Working in university settings has also given me the skills to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Parallel to my academic career, I have spent years working as a new media professional. I am a writer, director, editor, and producer of entertaining and thoughtful new media content that blends video gaming, philosophy, and social consciousness. My Ph.D. dissertation was titled "The Problem of the 'Virtual': Virtual Reality, Religious Experience, and Digital Dualism."
