Matthew Pulis

Following a career as an IT manager, and having obtained a Masters specialisation in Geographic Information Systems, I decided to join the Archbishop’s Seminary in Malta to be formed into the Catholic Priesthood. Last April I was ordained a Deacon and God willing, in April 2019, I will be ordained a Priest. I have successfully read for an S.Th.B (a canonical degree in Theology) and now pursuing my studies in Digital Theology at the CODEC research centre, Durham University. My plan is that after this year of the MA, I proceed with a D.Th.M at the same faculty. I plan to study the effects of online gaming on Maltese 14-16 year olds, and my doctorate on coming up with a digital strategy for Evangelisation for the local Maltese church. Surely such a research will involve an ethnographic study on a number of local parishes, and studying the opportunities and threats as seen by the local youth.
